Safer streets. More jobs. A stronger economy. Better education. Improved transport.
This is part of my comprehensive plan to BUILD BACK BISHOP, and it’s a plan I’ve already started to deliver.
Having been born, raised and worked in Bishop Auckland, I know the problems families and businesses in our town face. Having served as a local councillor in County Durham, I have learnt how to get things done effectively.
As a former Business Development Director for Bishop Trains, I am aware of the struggles our small and medium enterprises face daily. I am committed to working with local business owners to secure their futures by developing long-term strategies that support sustainable economic growth and job creation in our community.
In 2021, I dedicated myself to transforming Whitworth Park Academy in Spennymoor from Inadequate to Good. Collaborating with the school's leadership team and academy trust, we achieved a Good rating within just two years.
As your local councillor, I will be focused on delivering the change we desperately need:
- Safer Streets: Enhancing community safety through increased police presence and better support for local initiatives.
- More Jobs: Creating job opportunities by supporting local businesses and attracting new investments.
- A Stronger Economy: Developing long-term economic strategies to ensure sustainable growth and prosperity.
- Better Education: Continuing to improve our schools to provide quality education for our children.
- Improved Transport: Enhancing public transport infrastructure for better connectivity and convenience.
I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and months and working together to make these vital improvements a reality for our community.
