Bishop Auckland has been waiting far too long for real investment. As your Conservative councillor, I will get to work immediately, making sure we deliver real benefits to our town.
My plan includes:
- Reducing business rates for town centre businesses to help them thrive and attract more visitors, boosting our local economy.
- Refurbishing properties in the town centre to create modern commercial spaces, giving new start-ups the opportunity to grow and succeed right here in Bishop Auckland.
- Launching a local business support network, offering advice, mentorship, and resources to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) navigate challenges and grow sustainably.
- Promoting a 'Buy Local' campaign, encouraging residents to support our independent shops and services.
With the right investment and policies in place, we can transform Bishop Auckland’s town centre into a hub of activity, innovation, and opportunity for businesses and residents alike.
